Balls Pyramid Book
SOUTH PACIFIC PINNACLE:  The Exploration of Balls Pyramid

Editors: Jim Smith with Keith Bell
Be part of the climbing expeditions to Balls’ Pyramid, Australia’s (and the World's) largest sea stack rising almost 600 metres  (1,860 feet ) out of the ocean.
Explore the challenges with these great climbers... feel the emotions of trying to ascend this impressive and unique  sea stack ... share the surprises as sharks lurk between the landing boat and the Pyramid... be part of the cyclone drama as climbers cling to the pyramid and face huge storms, towering waves,  and even waterfalls cascading from above.
Enjoy the camaraderie... feel the adventurous spirit of these pioneers.
It is a story of adventure, overcoming the seemingly impossible. It is about the spirit of climbers facing big challenges and succeeding.
At times it is a parallel to life... being challenged and overcoming fears... success, and at times failure.
The Pyramid story is also steeped in political and territorial drama.
In the end though it is about human nature triumphing over difficulties and adversity.
View also the photos of an alien insect thought to be extinct, the myriad of birds wheeling about, the lizards and the huge centipedes, all denizens of this unique rock.
Be astounded that only 50 people have attained the slender summit of this amazing Pacific Pinnacle.

NEWS
Asher Flatt is in the process of making a video on the Phasmid (Lord Howe Island Stick Insect) and Balls Pyramid.
It is a fascinating subject, an insect that was brought back from extinction, eaten out by rats on Lord Howe Island but surviving on the rocky ramparts of Balls Pyramid.
Asher is Crowd Funding and would appreciate your support no matter how large or how small.
